No longer in her mother's shadow, but still cursed by the actions her mother had taken, Keeley takes a job working for Ariston believing she can resist him. Ariston firmly felt Keeley was no good. And what better way to remove her attraction, than to satisfy his desire.
But things are not as they seem. And history can leave a mark, but also can be learned from and change the future. An Ok story. May 27, Nikki rated it liked it. This one was pretty good.
Glad the heroine was very sensible and reacted like a normal person would. Our hero is a control freak and it's nuts. And I'm glad the author treated it as a flaw he had to overcome, usually the heroine in these have to accept the dude's jerky behavior until he falls in love. Uhhhh did that doctor who worked on the heroine's mom go to prison?
The make up and end comes way too quickly. But still an alright read. Jul 28, Palabasalibro rated it liked it. I really love Harlequin romance books. They are my go to short, sweet and easy reads. This one let me down a little. I loved the heroine in this book, but she was a bit naive. The hero was a jerk - and didn't fully redeem himself in the end.
The ending felt a bit rushed, although you can feel the chemistry between the pages, the romance wasn't that melt-your-heart type of romance. But it still is a good read. Oct 29, TashNz rated it really liked it Shelves: netgalley , sharon-kendrick. I really enjoyed this story becasue it had a Cinderella feel to it, I really liked the opposites attract but the simmering attention underneath.
It was fast paced and the characters were bought to life with Sharon's wonderful way with words. I loved their ride to happy ever after and the emotion that was created with the two opposite characters. I liked their back story with the parents and how their upbringing affected who they are today.
Loved it! The dude was an asshole from start to finish. I mean sure, in the last five seconds he with no real indication from his POV bits about faces and starts spouting love and shit, but honestly?
Jun 16, Frankie rated it did not like it. How is this suppose to be a romance book? The Hero was an absolute ass from beginning to end! The things he thinks, does and says to heroine is too disgusting. There was nothing likable about this character and nothing entertaining reading this book! Jul 30, Martha rated it really liked it Shelves: harlequin-presents.
I enjoyed this book immensely. I love the romances where the hero is completely wrong about the heroine and in this case he had it extremely wrong, angst and chemistry between the two. Enjoy the read. Jul 08, Terri Hebert rated it it was amazing. This book was great. Loved the storyline and the characters. Just couldn't put it down. Kept me interested until the end!!!

To the horror of my parents, I left school at sixteen and held a bewildering variety of jobs: I was a London DJ in the now-trendy Primrose Hill , a decorator and a singer.
After that I became a cook, a photographer and, eventually, a nurse. I waitressed in the south of France, drove an ambulance in Australia, saw lots of beautiful sights but could never settle down. Everywhere I went I felt like a square peg—until one day I started writing again and then everything just fell into place. I felt like Cinderella must have when the glass slipper fit! Today, I have the best job in the world, writing passionate romances for Harlequin. I like writing stories which are sexy and fast-paced, yet packed full of emotion—stories that readers will identify with, laugh and cry along with.
My interests are many and varied—chocolate and music, fresh flowers and bubble baths, films, cooking and trying to keep my home from looking burglarized! I regularly visit London and Paris.
